"Lady Liberty" is a song I wrote in January 2017 about the state of unity in our country, or lack thereof. I had shelved it because everything was so polarizing and I needed to step away from the incessant media blitz of politics. At a time when our country is so divided, we need to look at what America truly represents, and the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom and enlightenment. Like anything in life, America is best when we work together. I recorded the song with my friends, Tom Rush, Patty Larkin and Mark Erelli.
